LGB battery RC sound conversion

I just purchased a LGB 21251. Really a beautiful locomotive. Has anyone tackled a RC conversion. I will but need to roundup some info on disassembly. any help would be appreciated.

Removing the boiler is a 2 step process. Remove the front smoke stack first but remember it has wires that do not allow much distance for removal, and then do the rest. There is a small screw on each side holding the 2 parts together. remaninder of boiler must have the rear (section at the cab) raised up to move this piece off the weight. Reassembly is harder than taking this engine apart and I have done over ten of these engines to date.
