LGB autom What is it please

I use these 2 one each for my up and down ramps just using the control terminals powered by a couple of 5006 transformers
but what are the 2 center terminals for ? Black and green on one and grey with red and blue buttons on the other

Dunno, and can't find anything on the net.
However they are shown as inputs so my guess would be a remote wired hand held throttle.
 
Ah, not quite right. Apparently you may be able plug a 55055 wireless receiver into it and use a 55050 remote for wireless analogue control. However I'm not sure of the reliability of the source of this. It's certainly true of the later version (51070) controller though.
 
I don't have any experience of this unit, however my initial thought was maybe the AutoM connection is to allow some sort of automated brake or acceleration control?

I found this link http://www.howibahn.de/historie/lgb65b.htm which seems to indicate this may be the case. It's in German, but is about automated shuttle control. The diagram shows a switchable potentiometer and capacitor wired to the AutoM connections, which I reckon would have the effect of ramping up or down a voltage applied to these terminals and thus simulate controlled braking or acceration perhaps? I'm sure Neil R will understand it better than me!
 
Thanks both for your help, i cant get that link to work , Both controlers work well for what i use them for but was just curious i couldnt find anything on the net and did hope it was some kind of built in shuttle i havnt risked plugging anything in and dont have a meter to test anything but not to worry if nobody knows Thank again Tony
 
It's for a remote control device. The 5007 is fairly old but I have seen some instructions for it. I photo copied them but it will take a little time to work out how to copy them & post them.

Something has gone wrong with my filing system as I have found the copy of instructions for 5007. Not easy as it comes out as a huge unreadable file but I'll try for the important bits.

P1 = 10K antilog
C1 47uF/6.3v
R1=4.7K
R2=4.7k
R3=150k

It would seem it is indeed a end to end shuttle unit that slows the speed of a train as it nears each end but you need Aprox 100 euros ebay money for the two end bits with buffers that contain the electronics so i will forget that and be happy with using it with out
