Hi
I have a LGB 55027 Decoder with MTS interface cable attached . I am wanting to install it in an older LGB loco that dose not have the interface. There are 10 wires on the 55027 decoder the two blue outside wires show F1 and F2. The other two outside, on the other side are red and Black and show decoder - and Decoder + . What would do I do with these wires .

Testing LGB 55027 decoder

Hi
I tried to test the decoder on my LGB motor block . I connected the two track contacts on the motor to the track contacts on the decoder, and the two motor contacts to the two motor contacts on the decoder. I did not connect the F1 and F2 function leads , or the - and + decoder leads on the decoder anywhere. I connected the track contacts to my test track I checked that my piko navigator could read the decoder and it did I changed cv 3 from 3 to 6 and the motor block acknowledged the change. I OK it, but when I tried the motor I did not move. I connected the track leads on the motor back to analogue and the motor works fine in analogue mode except for the buzz . Dose the + and - leads on the decoder need to be connected to the + and - on the motor for the decoder to work. I am a bit hesitant to try this in case I fry the decoder. maybe the decoder is faulty . I would think the + and - leads on the decoder would supply power to the loco for extra lighting to carriages etc .
Thanks For any Help Frank

Hi Again .
I just realised what I had done wrong. I have 3 on my mind I changed CV 3 not CV 1 for the address, Have changed CV1 to 6 as I wanted that now all is working. Thanks to all potential helpers . I'm getting old.
