LGB 29272 - Best place to order?

Hi all,

Been a while since I've been on so hope you're all well! :)

I've kind of fallen in love with the LGB 29272 set, (pic below). It's a one-off 2017 set http://bit.ly/2nHiYi9

Does anyone know the best place to order items like this, and how many LGB tend to make? I've got a felling the might've already been snaffled up with advance orders....

Try Peter at Chalk Garden Rail. He has been most helpful in obtaining difficult to find new items.
 
By all means pre-order one from a UK stockist - Chalk, GRS, Glendale, P&S, KGR etc - since the fall in the Pound against the Euro it's no longer as good a deal to buy direct from German dealers (you can still make a saving in some cases, but not as much as it used to be) - but if you fail to get one that way don't lose hope..... with almost any LGB item, even the "limited edition" ones, you can nearly always find several on German eBay soon after they have hit the shops. For example, the recent green Saxon IVk Meyer, limited to about 400 models and long out of stock at all UK shops and the UK distributor, can still be found now on eBay.de (at the list price or less, no "rare collectable" silly prices) from several good reputable German stockists who will happily ship to the UK.

That item is not currently listed on the UK distributor website but it may be available to "Premier Dealers".
 
That item has not been released yet but you can pre ordered. Modell-land in Germany will e-mail you when its in stock - press the 'Fragen' button. 900 Euro at the moment and delivery is usually 16 euro - but this is a big box!
Used Modell-land sevearal times - no problems and resonable English.

LGB are saying May 2017 for availability - i would take that with a pinch of salt!

Wow, its a beauty. Blue, cool graphics on the coaches, and, sound, which i have heard is very difficult to fit in the loco.

Here in the US, listed at $960. Tempting.......
But, I need another rack loco like a hole in the head.

You could find very good prices at Modellbahnshop-Lippe and Bessere Preise, if they have the model.
 
I can also recommend (from excellent personal experiences) Der Lokschuppen Dortmund, and Hunti's Modell- & Gartenbahn (Annelie Huntemann)......

I've bought many times from Germany, never been let down or disappointed to date, Use Paypal if you can/decide to buy from Germany.
