HELP my brain hurts its so loud there must me a volume control
Its a fantastic sound but i've got a head ache already
I take it its factory fitted ?????????

Some of them had a volume control under the steam dome it should just lift off....

As Steve has written, the standard volume control is under the steam dome, but it can be VERY stiff to remove. It's usually better to twist the top part gently, rather than try to pull it straight out of the body. If all else fails, removing the body is not especially difficult, apart from the 7th screw hidden at the front underneath the smokebox.

There is a small notch at the top of the dome, usefull for a small srew-driver.

BTW: the blue 21852 is very loud, the volume control is possible from "loud" to "very loud"....the brown 21852.1 (from 70700 set) is more quiet, and the whistle is more european-style than the big-boy-style of the blue one.
