If anyone has an LGB 2-10-2T for sale please get in touch

I am aware there are some available SH at some retailers but thought I would ask the question here first!

I realise you said you're aware of various ones at dealers, Steve, so you've probably spotted it already - but even as a private sale I don't think you'll find a much better price than the one going for £950 at Glendale at the moment.....
When I was in there a week ago, Brian said that the description of "needs a good clean" was erring on the pessimistic side, apparently it's pretty good (only going by his comments here, I didn't see it out of the box). If I didn't already have one I'd have been sorely tempted myself.

Jon.

Yeah the current price is why I won't be selling mine even once the HOm ones come out. I dream of a garden so I can run them more regularly ;)
Don't like the factory weathering on the ones I've seen, the Shades of the Harz ones were good though. I'll keep an eye out and let you know if I spot one butight be worth selecting Germany on eBay as a lot more come up than on the UK site, I was looking for another at one stage ;)

Only one Jon? Another 16 odd to go ;)

..............

I inventoried my loco stable and stock roster this week, Paul, and it's a little bit terrifying.... I seem to have a lot more than I ever recall buying.... ;)
There will be some rationalisation shortly (mostly rolling stock, not locos) so expect some items to come up on the For Sale forum in the near future at good prices - I'd much rather sell them to fellow forumites than put them on evilBay, and not just because of the costs! :)

Thanks for the input so far I am aware of who has got what for sale, but was just hoping maybe there is a private seller around!!

Once again I regret selling the ones i had on my previous line, before i gave up Garden railways 3 years ago for ever (Ha-Ha)

PS no one has mentioned the one on Andrews S/H list yet ( Garden rly Centres) he has also reduced some prices of his S/H recently.

That's a decent price for the limited-edition one, Steve, IF you want the "weathered" model - I was surprised to see it listed as an analogue model with DCC interface, I had just assumed that the special edition ones all had DCC and sound - obviously not!

For one with DCC/sound, how about this one that came up with a little Google-Fu....

Sorry Steve, I hadn't clicked any deeper into it - it just came up when I googled "LGB 21812"..... I guess it may be a site that harvests and re-posts items off ebay. >:(
Apologies if I got your hopes up!

Jon.

Yes, that WOULD have been rather a good deal. At least the one at Glendale is real, and still available as far as we know..... That's unless Phil's cryptic message comes good of course! ;)

Jon.

Just looked at the Glendale site and it is still there.

No you cannot have my Aster one, with a Massoth Sound chip at any price!

The Glendale one has been on their S/H list for quite a long time, The Garden Rly Centres even longer!

I have been to Glendale a couple of times whilst it has been there. Looks very tidy, but not seen it running of course.

I might have been tempted at the price, but as it is 7222 and I already have this one it would be a big job for me to convert to a different one as it is one of the original ones that went to Norway during WW2.

Ok, at the risk of thread-hijack.. I'll bite, and show ignorance..

Where can I get a stock-list for running numbers of the Harz 2-10-2's? - We have some 'extra' plates which came with the layout, but neither of us has been, or read German, so we tend to only look at the pictures! ::) ;) ;)

Not quite Jon, its two sister locos went to Norway as reparations and were scrapped 7222 never went, I've read it in the official guide and same details here
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DRG_Class_99.22

I have a 7222 masquerading as a later production one, when LGB went bust I ordered the later production version and the shop took my money then sat on it two weeks before trying to sell me the 7222 at a higher price as the other one was sold out! After pointing out some pertinent parts of retail law I took the 7222 at the same price rather than getting into a legal wrangle. The main identification features are the tank side steps differ, the motion bracket is inboard of the drop link on 7222 and outside it on the others and the front step is plated over underneath the smokebox on 7222. As the LGB one is a compromise in length between the two types that doesn't matter. There are two distinct boiler top variants in how the fittings are arranged but without a photo I doubt there are many who would know ;)

Here :) As I said above though you need to study the photos to see which have the different pipework and sheet metal versions on the boiler top.
