Thanks GizzyDon't forget that you will need the mountings that fit between the rails/sleepers too.
And there is a modified version of the hook on couplings that doesn't foul on the teeth of the rack you might need to acquire as well....
Probably does, but without a photo it's difficult to say. Thanks Gizzy
"modified version of the hook on couplings" think i have modified myself with a pair of wire cutters and created a slope into them ? do you think this does the same thing ??

The bottom of the coupling hook is reduced in depth to stop clanging along the top of the rack gear and possibly causing uncoupling. Thanks Gizzy
Seam to have bags of the clips and even after spacing them every 30-15 cm thanks to a purchase fromMTheStrong (not seen any advise on how many to use) but upto 4m now and just need a few more to make the 6m !!!

25 % rack operations here now and still fowling on the coupler, Nothing a bit more wire cutter removal cant help !I found that replacing the standard coupler hook with the rack-specific one made no difference and they still caught on the rack. In fact by eye (not micrometer) I can't actually see a difference. So I resorted to butchering standard couplings by cutting through just below the spring retaining hole. I did wonder if it was a function of my rack slope but that's only 33 cm over 180 cm. Which IIRC is well below the max quoted by LGB.
Ha, sorry the coupler on the train, sorry I thought you meant something that couples the rack to the track on the lead into the rack slope. Im near 90% of the PergolaBahn complete now, Its my take on the Jungfrau railway I guess and will post some pictures soonProbably does, but without a photo it's difficult to say.
I think from memory LGB 66464 is the cat no....
Exactly that. Now what actual purpose does the tab on the bottom serve, apart from auto decoupling with the tool between the tracks. ????
The Rack came later in the LGB program so I guess they noticed the rattle of the deeper dropper and decided to do something about it.What I fail to understand is there are two hook types, a short tab (for rack track (# 64462)) and a longer tab (for non-rack track # 64707). If the short one works fine at un-coupling, why bother with the standard long tab.
Yep, understand that, so why not make the shorter tab standard as it will work in all situations - or can they just make more money out of you!!The Rack came later in the LGB program so I guess they noticed the rattle of the deeper dropper and decided to do something about it.
Interesting point, best ask Maerklin/LGB that question.Yep, understand that, so why not make the shorter tab standard as it will work in all situations - or can they just make more money out of you!!
