LEDs not working

I is back..
The lighting outputs are low voltage and low current, so the wrapped unit may be a LAMP1 amplifier (sic).
You should be able to measure something around 3-5V to battery negative on the lighting outputs.
The instructions say you can only drive one white LED, or two other colour from these outputs, which suggests 3.5V outputs?

More modern LEDs may be a little more forgiving?

The instructions suggest the Mac5 will self-calibrate at start-up, so you need to make sure the stick and any trimmers are centred before powering up.

Thanks Phil, I'll dig out my voltmeter tonight and check the voltages. I also really need to check the LEDs themselves haven't blown. Fortunately I read your post before I tried, i didn't even think olthat their voltages may be only 3V or so!

Look for the 'bump' of a resistor, somewhere in the lead(s) to the diodes. - quite often fitted adjacent to the LED.

You must use a resistor (there should be one!) to limit the current a little.. Almost anything from 150 ohm to nearly 1k will do for a test.
