Garden Railways, Model making
hi
I have been a bit quiet lately but with family commitments and this little project I say little but it is 1/5 of my garden length it is quiet big for me .this is how far I have got .

my idea is, it will give me 2 extra sidings this will enable me to do a bit more shunting and to leave some engines out by the engine shed . the track will be laid once the roof has been done .It was also a good excuse to revamp the buildings and give them a good brush down and a repaint .I can still play trains at the bottom of the garden as I have a second controller in the shed were there is still 2 extra sidings and 2 loops .hopefully by mid July it will be all reinstated .
any suggestions to squeeze a quart into a pint bottle would be great

Looking nice

Re:land grab

hi Kev
no but I have been watching Colin's very closely hoping to see his soon . The track goes past the engine shed and carries on to the rest of the railway, the engine shed makes a good screen and hopefully it will look like an engine is appearing from nowhere .

Re:land grab

Here is the conclusion of the land grab. I managed to squeeze in a bit more than I thought ,still got to be pinned down and ballasted but I am still having a play to see what shunting moves I can do and up to now it has kept me quiet .I went to Telford this morning and got some more 2 foot straights to complete and had a good chat with Steve Warrington and he was very helpful in selecting some second pieces for me .

eventually when the roof is done by the builders and I can pin and ballast the track and it will not look so stark but that is a few weeks off .

Re:land grab

Hi Ian
Yes it go's into the conservatory through the shed on the right hand side of the wall to two lines were I load on wet days or snow ,it is also useful for storing rolling stock ( I have a very understanding wife)
