As delivered to the railroad in 1911.

This locomotive is built around a Bachmann chassis, cab, domes and cowcatcher.
The tender top is a reduced in size connie shell.
The cylinders are scratchbuilt, the pilot and so is the boiler and backhead.

The drips under the boiler look like scale build up from the water, these appeared by accident when finishing the boiler
The crossheads and guide are for a LGB 2-4-0

I have weathered the model using diluted flat black acrylics to give a sooty finish
The tender has a new frame, with polling pole and chains.

The figures are lead and where kindly given to me

The headlight is a LGB Porter one with a Bachmann lens and a white LED. The smokebox door is Bachmann

The boiler jacket is a brass sheet wrapped around cork and blackened, this method is described by Kevin Strong in the 2002 MLS Masterclass. I took the layout of the plumbing from David Fletcher's Masterclass 2001 and the front end details from the 2002 Masterclass.

I have installed RCS R/C and sound, with a 14.4 battery pack in the tender.

I have been running this loco for a while now, so natural weathering has begun to take place, all though chipping the paintwork!
