I am at a point where Kadeem couplers are actually being considered..........I thought about starting with my LGB #50 D & RG switcher and a few pieces of freight rolling stock. I don't know enough about them to make an informed purchase.

Where should I start and what should I look for ?

Depending on fleet size it can be quite a traumatic event Swopping Couplings. Best way to do it is to do Half Vehicles that can be coupled together in a set then extend this till you get to a stage when the Locomotives are next then leave the originals as coupled Halves together till you manage to get them all swopped out. Gives you chance to analyse how you feel with the new type without making massive investments at one go. Though if you are happy en route to the final goal there is a logic in picking up a bargain or two if you come across them.
