I've always wanted one of these rarities

Its actulay a unicorn...very very rare....buy it quick before it disapears

Actually that really IS rare - in fact, I'd say probably unique..... what the H*LL is it running on?

Jon.

I suppose a 'tenner' for an Otto body is about right?

Anything else 'useable' is a bonus..

This is close to being a dodgy listing, but at least it is presented as a 'spare or repair' and you can see what you are getting from the photographs..
Almost tempted to have a punt on it..

Oh, and an 11 inch 'Roby the Robot' (Lost in space) for £1.99 is tempting, as well.:)

Has anyone taken a good look at this? It has different sized wheels and the front wheels being smaller has no boss hole for coupling rods. Probably only worth it for the body as Phil says.

Yes, I did take a good look - that's why I have NO idea where that chassis came from..... a real "poggler"..... ;)

Jon

That's not 'Robby the Robot'. That's the Class B-9-M-3 General Utility Non-Theorizing Environmental Control Robot. Known simply as 'Robot'.
Danger, Will Robinson!
Danger, Will Robinson!

Quite! Once again the seller is being a bit devious with his listing.... "Robby/Robbie" is the "Forbidden Planet" robot.
Looking through his other items there are several that are misleadingly described.

Jon.

Doesn't look as if theverything body & running gear are actually fixed. My be the reasoning behind the posting is to sell the body and dump the chassis on some poor unsuspecting purchaser.

Yeah, and the reason that it is 'rare' in terms of ebay auctions for such rubbish, is that the auction started below £10 :eek::eek::eek:

I'd say that makes it a very rare auction indeed :nod::nod::nod::nod:

I think they are Slater's wheels. Not sure exactly which ones are but listed on Slater's website at about £25.50 per axle.
There is a gearbox, I presume with a motor and the Otto body.
So, it's a bargain at the current bid really. Not for me though. I already have way too many projects... :lipssealed:

Well.........................
I am tempted.. And SW is away from today.. And it is only down the road in Brum!

Decisions, decisions! :nod: :shake: :think::think:

Order another driving wheelset to match, scrap the 'Brick & Lump Hammer' chassis and build another. Some rods... Choo choo!

Those drivers look a little big, and fine...

I think something tall, spindley, and 'Emmett-like' might be appropriate??

But where will you get steam domes tall enough? :D

You may need to get extra pins for the con rods too. They may come with a new driving wheel set but missing on the eBay deal.

One of Greg's cee-gar tubes... You distract him, whilst I grab it.. ;):giggle:

As for pins for con-rods.. - Bolt with brass tube sleeve, would probably do?
(I'm forcing myself into a bid here, aren't I?)
