Okay, you don't have to rub it in that your late winters are better than our mid summers! :-) Great pictures and layout setting.

Excellent! Really raises the spirits, as my fingers freeze here in the UK.. (bad circulation, I fear).

Can you tell me more about the goods stock please? Especially the blue van behind the diesel, last picture in post #2.

The blue van is actually grey! It's an Accucraft W&L brake van. Just with South Bucks lettering and light weathering.

Some of the box vans are LGB with extra detailing bits and repainted and lettered.

The GW style 'toad' is scratch built on an LGB chassis.

The open wagons are a mixture of LGB, Accucraft, Bachmann and Swift Sixteen. All repainted, weathered etc. the Bachmann and LGB have been carved about a bit to make them look more 'British narrow gauge'.

The open on the back of the Isle of Man stock is an Accucraft IOM M truck, just weathered.

Thanks for the expansive notes..
I must have 'faded NCB blue' on the brain at the moment..
The Chasewater Railway is a former colliery line, and we have a fair bit of stock in National Coal Board blue.. If it gets *really* old it fades to something similar to the effect in the photo,
