I didn't realise that they had smoke units. The wheels look plastic, the motion definitely is plastic, but I don't remember a smoke unit in the one that IVary very early Bachmann Big Hauler. Looks very much like one of the battery powered jobbies.

Browsing through eBay, it appears that most seller seem to think that LGB and G Scale are the same thing.With a big Bachmann label on the smokebox door, he knows it's not LGB.

I think you are right, my early one only had con rods and slide bar without the benefit of other detailed valve gear parts which I had to scratch build when I converted mine to a Tralee n Dingle 2-6-0t. Still not worth anything like £185 - £85 undamaged, but you can see the damage to the Westinghouse brake![]()
