Interesting whizzy cranks conversion to a railcar

They must have removed the engine as the only door on the far side is into the driving cab.

I'm not so sure. Looking at the underneath picture on the eBay listing the motor blocks look intact, and the body shell of a whizzy crank is basically empty. This is one I had many years ago, now with Gizzy Gizzy

I think he was talking of the hypothetical 1:1 ;);)

I have to admit that it still has a certain poise - not by bag as it's not my scale, but a quick black line in the appropriate place would solve the door problem ;)

I would be interested to know what and where the FSN Railway is. Closest I can find livery wise was the FGC which ran from Genova to Cassela, was overhead electric likely 950mm gauge but had a colour scheme that could be right (difficult to be sure in black and white) but also had a sort of Railcar Locomotive not unlike this beast but not with Wizzy Cranks. If you have the Middleton Press book on Italy Narrow Gauge look at picture 3.14 And 3.15.

I'm sure I've seen a picture of a whizzy cranks railcar a bit like this, in Greece I seem to remember, but darned if I can find a picture of it.

Just had a quick look through my MP book of Greece NG, nothing with Wizzies though the MP books can sometimes be a bit weak mostly reliant on one or two punters visits rather than a lot of reserch. There were however a few Wizzy Cranks Railcars in both France and Germany but the colour so far as I can see looks all wrong. Oh just remembered have the WJK Davies book of Railcars (somewhere) will have a punt through that when I can find it!

I think it's a bit of whimsy with an Italian flavour - dunno about Corsica? Defo wrong colour for Sardinia :shake:
