Installing a decoder Massoth eMOTION XLS (8210081) in the locomotive BR 99222 (LGB 26811).


The pics by numbers:

1) Everything is ready to install. Foam pad and a trapezoid to serve H0 locks are very useful.

2) Remove the cover of the coal box that it would not break off when you turn the lock.

3) Bottom view.

4-6) Unscrew the screws (in white circles, 1-2 - it`s up / down). 9-10-11 screws holding the front area with stairs, which unscrewing, get access to the last 12 screws.

7) Remove the top. Front and rear lights unfastened from slots 1 and 2.

8) Remember where the place of plug of front light.

9) Cable, which all strongly suggest soldering in smoke generator to synchronize the audio (and that comes with a decoder), have lovingly soldered by engineers of LGB.

10-11) Unscrew the 4 screws that hold the caliper aluminum board. Set the speaker to fasten the 2 screws and washers. Put the card into place.

12) Drill one hole (yellow circle), fasten with screws decoder, put it under a piece of foam rubber, as it perfectly without foam on 2 their feet dangling, and can touch the bottom of the metal base.

Harness is set to the decoder according to the instructions. Do not be mistaken, go slowly, step by step.

Native plug also has a loop for some detail, screwed with 2 screws to the board. Because it is no longer used, I unscrewed it all. (red circles on the photo).

Insert a plug of harness to motherboard with 2 gaps back (the red wire on the left side).

Cable from the speaker plugs into Spkr in the decoder.
Cable 3 wires coming from the smoke generator (shown in photo 9), plugs into Clck1 at the decoder. (see location of the connectors in the instructions to the decoder).

Check all on the rails.

13-14) We clean all wire by plastic loops. Sticks plugs back light from the cover into the slots.

15) Spring of front runner very strong, and upsets lock "on the ass." That looks not very beautiful.

By this, I took a bite wire cutter from the spring coil 3 (pictured - cut piece). Lok now stand normally.

Check all: smoke-7-6 sound, light, light, sorting mode -8, mute the volume CV200 = 15.

I like your decription very well, because it is detailled and useful. I have the feeling that your description is not complete. I miss some explanations regarding the executed wiring. Did you use an adapter cable?
