Steam tractors, good books, scratchbuilding models
Seriously, how do you approach your projects?
1. I'm methodical and meticulous, from start to finish - no matter how long it takes
2. I build in spurts, then quit for a while
3. When the muse bites I'll drop whatever else I'm working on for the new project, complete it, then go back to the old one.
4. I like the challenge of working on several projects at once. That way I can do something on one while waiting for paint, glue or parts for another.
5. I'm all thumbs, just do it for me and send me the bill already
6. I never finish anythi....

I sorta vacillate between #3 and #4 with occasional mis-adventures that fall under #6. At the moment I have 3 buildings, an oil well, 4 steam locomotives, a railtruck, 2 boxcars, 7 hoppers, a tank car and a work flat (and a partridge in a pear treeeeeeee) on my plate.........

6. together with
7. Pathetic. &:

An unhealthy mix of all except No.5

If there was to be a #7 it would have been "I've got lots of great ideas, and I'll get started on one just as soon as I finish my application for the procrastinator's society - Which I haven't yet sent for." But I never got around to adding it, and can you really call that a "build" style?

My Modeling Style???

I must say that I am a number four type. You might say a multi-tasker. Isn't that the trem in use now?

Number 2 seems to be me according to SWMBO. She may say that but I could not possibly comment

A combination of 2 and 4.

Get stuck into project 1 until another idea comes along. Get stuck into project 2. Keep going until getting the overpowering urge to start project 3. Repeat process until project "N" (where N = a bloomin' big number) then return to project 1....

Short attention span? Moi?

A bit of 3 & 2
There needs to be a category for

'Please God give me patience, but give it to me now!!'

:admire::admire:

what about number 8?
"id love to have the build skill of others and are too ashamed to post my monstrisities online" because i'd be #8 X(

Any completed project - as long as you did your best - IS something to be proud of. Period. We ALL started out fingerpainting in our babyfood.

I thought the actual question what is my style of build and I would have gone for the "no longer fit toned or athletic" but I'm definatley 1,2,&3 in err well this context..... But while I'm busy 1ing away and getting every thing ship shape and bristol fashion I tend to forget where I am and why I'm doing it.... My current project has caused the loss of our south east forests ( an area larger than Scotland) in paper for drawings which I continually modify and then forget where I put them when I need them.

Oh yes indeed..... what a classic.....

Probably 2 and 3 - but I rest uneasy until I finish a project. I've always believed (but not always practised) the adage, "Never put off 'till tomorrow what you can do today".

Even retired, there's never enough time!
