Here's a couple of early pics.
This one shows the trackbed and dwarf wall in the making
And here is an early shot of the station area with everything looking very raw and new. Thankfully the platform weathered to a nicer colour in time.

Sometime around 1980... my mums rockery succumbed to TRAIN TRACK
The control panel, such as it was, lived in a tupperware box and was permanently attached to a bit of grey cable sprouting out of the rockery. The controller was just wired up to a connector hidden in the monbretia.

Starter set and a bit of straight track: notice my Permanent Way Engineering skills still can't get the ends to match up:
Then two starter sets! No holding back now!
Bit of guessing and start building walls:
Anologue, it's Italian for spaghetti:
Wahay! The station with all the wires neat'n'tidy before I put up the fence so every burger knocked the conduit for 6 (or at least a 4):
Station, passing loop and branch line pretty much (layout wise) as today:
Finally the people that power the scene : Ms Scarlet O'Preiser and her charms, plus some dog that isn't so charming (well, what else are hydrants for?)
