Sometime around 1980... my mums rockery succumbed to TRAIN TRACK
The control panel, such as it was, lived in a tupperware box and was permanently attached to a bit of grey cable sprouting out of the rockery. The controller was just wired up to a connector hidden in the monbretia.

Wahay! The station with all the wires neat'n'tidy before I put up the fence so every burger knocked the conduit for 6 (or at least a 4):

Finally the people that power the scene : Ms Scarlet O'Preiser and her charms, plus some dog that isn't so charming (well, what else are hydrants for?)
