How to remove Playmobil weights?

I have replaced plastic wheels with metal wheels. So now want to replace the weights from bottom of Playmobil wagons.

How do I remove it? It seems tightly stuck in all wagons. :-[

Like much of Playmobil, they clip into place on the wagons and carriages and it is a matter of prising them gently free. I'll take the time tomorrow to run through the process myself and make notes and then post them here.
