How to get rid of the adverts...

Ok, please help me to get rid of the adverts. On an average page I see seven (!!) banners that annoy me tremendously. This is too much for me.

Where to pay what?

I normally don’t mind the adverts, but of late they have become far more intrusive, The worst of it is that they don’t relate to any of my interest. There are five banners showing, spread between four posts.

I experienced the same, Casey. 7 on the overview page and all not of my interest. But then 99,9% of the ads do not have my interest. Paying 15 pounds and I can enjoy a year long ad free forum!

If you click on the small blue cross top right in the advert, sometimes you are asked why you don't want to see the advert an a number of choices appear. To some degree, this does seem to reduce the amount of advertising.

We all have to recognize that there is no such thing as a free lunch. Ads pay for this great forum that Paul supplies. No ads? Then pay to support.
Trackers are a whole ‘nother thing. I use mobile safari and duck duck go as a search engine and that seems to do the trick.
