How to change the Flag

It is very common for the software manufacturer to put thier "advertisement" at the bottom of every page.

I guess this is not really important to the management, but gee, after all this time, maybe someone would fix it?

I see a moderator commented in January.... I guess it's just not worth fixing?

I think it only started with an upgrade to the Forum software?

If so, I doubt (without reverting to a previous software version) Paul and Lisa would be able to fix it?

Per post #17, there are many instances of this software running worldwide. Upgrading software often changes some settings.

There should be no technological reason this forum cannot accurately map incoming IP addresses like the other 15, 642 Xenforo sites

But maybe our activity will garner some response or interest. ;)

Quite frankly IDGAD, but wish that there was some kind of declaration of location even a County and Country in all peoples Avatar details.

The option for location is in the profile, and shows when you hover over the avatar.

Hi All,

Wow that was a pain to fix, thought the add on module was broke so binned it and changed to a new one, then noticed everyone was in UK (why you would all want to move here is beyond me!)

so did some more digging and seems everybody is using the same ip address to connect....very odd i thought, then remembered a server update that includes something called nginx which is a sort of proxy thing, anyway turned that off as its screwing things up, now you are all back to logging in via your own ip address so the country can be detected.

you can also override it as the example above.

Paul

See! I told you-lot it was probably a dodgy upgrade.

Thank you Paul!

A phrase from before the age of computers, comes to mind..

Except for The Shed The Shed , who may have an error by selecting his own country.

I see you can change your flag to Mars. Is that Mars as in "Men are from Mars women are from Venus"?
