Home made platform

I model the RhB railway and these are an attempt to model their low platforms.
I used XPS foam for these platforms. The edge detail is carved in and painted. The top surface will be gravel dust secured with SBR, same as the section beside the siding.
You can see the unpainted section on the left top.

These have been down half a year or so. I diluted the SBR too much at this end, you can see the dust has come off in sections.
The other end is good.

Belatedly, but as promised. I remembered to take a photo of one of the platforms on the Ffynnon Fach railway at BDMES. It is made from mosaic tiles, fixed down with exterior tile adhesive, directly onto the paving slab roadbed, then grouted with exterior grout. The finished surface is just slightly below rail top level to save knocking off any projecting steps. 45mm track to the left of the platform, 32mm track to the right, in this photo. The end of the tracks adjacent to the platform in the photo, will (at some point when we get around to building it), be the start of the next part of the railway, to allow a longer loop to run on. We also have a platform made from square mosaic tiles, but to my eyes, it does not look as nice. Sorry I had packed up the locos before I remembered to take a photo.
