Hillman Lift-out Bridge Clamps

Yes it's pivoted on the R/H side - both vertically and horizontal. I used a pair of forks off a small electric scooter - the headstock bearing (sitting in a piece of tube) provides the inverted forks with the swivel. Where the wheel axle would go provides a hinge so that the bridge follows the contours of the drive as it rises. On the left hand side (next to the other bridge, is a drop-down leg (with a rubber tyred wheel) which supports the bridge as it swings open.

That's so ingenious, Mick, and I'll file away that excellent idea for the future (basically it is a long-term plan to transport the line from my back garden in England to a windy roof terrace in Spain, but the design requires a break in the loop to allow access from the stairs, hence a long but moveable bridge!).

No problem Martyn, I enjoyed the digression across to Spain via Ireland.

Ingenious suggestions, thanks to all. But I already have the Hillman lift-out clamps and I know that they are the right solution.

And I'm still looking for some!
