Hi all, I am a returning member after a few years away from the hobby. I am resurrecting my line 'Tramway Demiel 1910' a metre gauge railway set in France 1910; The previous line was a circuit passing through a village featuring houses, a fairground, and a chateau. This time I am going for an end to end line but again passing through typical french scenery. Will post progress when time and subject permits

Thanks for the welcome Henri. A Billard railbus is a little before my time. I scratchbuild my locos and in 1910 railbuses were just being experimented with.

The first pic is an ongoing experiment of using fence support posts bolted to 45mm and sunk into the ground for straight stretches of track

Welcome to the forum. You idea of fence posts is a new angle to the "what track to use" debate

Yes, I used it quite successfully on my old line. I had to square the ends off to make a good connection but because i only use battery power; no problem. If you half bury them so only the top half of the 'rail' is showing they look quite authentic, and of course, a fraction of the price!!
