Hi all, I’m from Shropshire England, fairly new to garden railways having modelled mainly 1/24 trucks and N gauge previously.

Welcome to the forum, at least with garden railways you can see flaws!

Welcome to the forum Tom. As observed previously, you'll need a sense of humour! Oh, deep pockets too!

Well, with 1:24 trucks you're nearly there - just pick your scale :devil: although it looks like you've nailed it at 1:20.3 - nice to have another one on board.

Thanks for the warm welcome!
Hopefully when the weather improves this is the plan for my railway.
Partially stole the trackplan off Rik (Peckforton Light Railway)

Thanks, Tom

Nice Track-plan. Having used Rik's plan as a basis I assume you will be looking at operation in a serious way. Rik’s blog gives some very interesting detail about his Timetable and Wagon forwarding. But beware, Timetable Operation can become addictive and you will soon be hunting out other regular operators to join in the fun. Well once you have the line built that is.

Nice looking plan.. DO get something down to 'play' on. - It keeps you motivated, especially if you can slowly increase the length of line. :)

Make all the sidings, and loops, as long as you can.. Make the curves as large a radius as you can. - LGB R3 minimum!
Unless you are VERY SURE you will only ever run short stock.

Just my observations..
But,
Mostly, have fun!

Currently drawn up with minimum 4ft radius, mostly 5ft except for the sidings (got a handful of R1 points currently in the spare room as a small shunting layout)z

Thanks,
Tom
