Hesitation with Massoth Booster and CS3

I have a CS3+ and use a Massoth booster to get 2.5x the power. I have the layout carved into power districts using circuit breakers so no area is getting more than 7 amps. Recently I started another expansion and decided to use the 5amps from the CS3 to power the additions. I have found there to be hesitation from locos as they pass from the Massoth booster districts to the CS3 district. Has anyone experienced this or tried this set up?

The CS3 puts out 22V and typically I've run the Massoth booster at 20V. I've tried it at 22V but there is no difference.

Have to say I would not thought of or even do mixing Base Station and other Mfg Booster, there could be some inconsistencies here. Have you tried with just the CS3 booster to see if things work OK, though it clearly would not match the CS3 to Massoth issue that you have.

I have tried with just the CS3 and Marklin boosters and there is no hesitation, its definitely the mixing. I think there could be something about the protocols. I've probably only tried this with MFX-enabled locos and not just DCC ones. While the Massoth booster can control MFX the locos can not talk back to the CS3 through the Massoth booster (once upon a time Massoth was developing a module for this but it has never materialized). I could see how this could pose a problem on cross over where there has been no back traffic from the Massoth booster and then all the sudden there is and vice versa.

I'll experiment with just a DCC loco as configured in the CS3 and see if the same thing happens and report back. I may need to just go with another Massoth booster instead of trying to mix. I wish Marklin would make a more powerful booster, 5 amps is not enough for my mainline and yards.
