Help ID Track Cleaning Device

I've been using the Overhead Railways "G Clean" that uses the LGB cleaning block, and works well for my indoor track. (Overhead Railways is now out of business, but there are a lot of these around in the 2nd hand market)

OP: I do have other cleaning solutions, including an LGB Cleaning Block that rides in the middle of a car I created by cutting up a short LGB car. It is basically a rough version of what is shown above.

I was just curious about this recent find on an eBay purchase, as I had never seen such a thing. With the small wheel rotating around as it slides along the track, it seems like a neat option. But, parts and replacement pads are not available. So there’s that.

I also have the short LGB flat car with the two cleaning pads mounted underneath. I think that is my least favorite option as it requires weight to stay on the track and is difficult to pull.

I would really like to get all three of these options working and just pull them behind a couple of engines. Then, one pass cleans 3 times.

May as well hijack my own thread. Here is what I typically run to clean track. It also serves to connect cars w/o Kadee to those with. The little screws let the cleaning block float. I guess I added screws on the block to add weights, maybe? Not sure.

Like that as a solution, of course as the lid is removable a goodly amount of weight can be added inside. I wonder if your screws were to keep some in place?

It's interesting the plethora of "track cleaning" methods and implements one sees marketed and brewed up over the years. Never mind the wagon mounted leaf and debris removal implements, using brushes and blowers. And the price ranges from a few quid to £750 +. I have seen one in the current issue of "16mm Today" that even uses and adapted aero model duct fan "jet" as a blower. In the end, as age and decrepitude encroach, I have gone from a low cost but effective means to probably the most costly option. The wholesale conversion of my roster to battery/rc operation. No railhead maintainace required ! But I do get to fit sound to offset the outlay Cost, don't ask.

By co-incedence my redundant shorty cleaning wagon with the LGB legs in post #4 - It has now also morphed into a match wagon, both knuckle coupler heights, hook & loop, link & pin, dumb centre buffer and chopper coupler types (they are in the bag stowed on the car). It also acts as a battery car and has a speedo/odometer calibrated to 1:20.3 scale. A very usefull purchase that gondola 20 years ago.
