Hi Everyone,

I am new to G scale railways. Currently working on my first garden layout for the back yard. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Just finished painting my new steel bridge and cleaning up the first of several used G scale building I found. This will be a fun summer in the back yard!IMG_4014.JPG IMG_4017.JPG

Welcome! I see you've started right - hope to see more of your progress on here!

Hello and welcome. You are very much in the right place. So, what's your main area of garden rail road modelling interest J ? Max

Welcome J. I think I remember Sonoma from a road trip I did through Northern California some years ago. Nice wine and pleasant climate. And you have the TrainTown Railroad as inspiration! My advice would be have big plans but start small so you can get some trains running! :-)

I've seen that bridge before! Glad you made it here Jared I'm sure you'll make good use of all the stuff you bought!

Welcome from the UK.

For many years my wife's grandfather lived in Boyes Hot Springs. We stayed with him on a couple of occasions when visiting the States in the 1980s. On one of our stays, we visited Train Town and enjoyed it very much. It seemed a complete to surprise to my wife's grandfather that such a place existed!

Welcome to the forum....

Welcome aboard from the right side of the country. I'm sure you will enjoy these forums as much as I have. Everyone here is full of knowledge, among other things.....LOL.....so ask away.

I spent time in California when I was in the Navy. Beautiful country out there.
