Heller Powerpack S 20 volt 15 amp power unit

Good morning all
I have found this unit lurking amongst my railway items but I have no idea on its exact use as I cannot find a manual for it anywhere. It is very heavy and is a right beast.
As far as I can ascertain the unit is used to power a DCC set up. I have a Massoth 1200Z unit with a built it power supply so it would make sense to sell this Heller unit.....once I know what it exactly does (I think it may be a power booster for a DCC controller......possibly!!)
Any help would be appreciated.

It might be their 15 amp booster, but it might also have the power supply built in.

I have the German document and a partial translation, email me.

It's a pretty pricey piece of "kit"

Heller is a manufacturer of power supplies for a wide variety of purposes. AFAIK they don't make anything explicty in the DCC area, so it is most likely to be just a DC power supply.

Heller is a manufacturer of power supplies for a wide variety of purposes. AFAIK they don't make anything explicty in the DCC area, so it is most likely to be just a DC power supply.

I have seen a web page that appears to show this unit being used as the main power supply for the newer Massoth system that requires a separate power supply. As Greg also pointed out..it was not a cheap unit when new. The plot thickens

I have documentation on their booster which is called a "AC amplifier", it is a booster, not a power supply, in fact it may require a power supply...

The documentation I have for the 15 amp booster is smaller, but has very similar connections on one "half", this unit has some additional ones.

So, this model may very well be a controllable AC power supply, or power supply and booster,

Hi Greg……yes it looks like this unit is the booster and transformer all in one package as it were…..no wonder it was sold at such a high price. Thank you for the information received earlier…..I feel a eBay listing coming on once I get my head around everything.

Yes, actually a very nice product, they have settable short circuit protection and also the feedback to the command station to shut it down in event of a short, etc.

Very high quality stuff.
