Another weekend with some train running tucked under the belt.
Manawanui was at work with it's train load of log bogies on Saturday...

Sunday saw Kaitaki, the Dubs A and Otto get a run....
Kaitaki at rest in the steaming bay.
Dubs A on the temporary pond bridge.
Last one from the weekend, in my imagination the Dubs A is pulling a rake of wagons away from the sawmill that have just been loaded with timber. Well that's my stroy and I'm sticking to it

G Scale Model Trains, 1:1 Sugar Cane Trains
OK is it just me that cannot see the pictures?
All I get is this.
Maybe my settings are not set right?

I haven't got around to attending to the missing photos yet....but I have been taking somemore! Starting with Ngahere on Christmas Eve, here raising steam in the steaming bay.
Steam raised time to head off over the pond to be....
...through Punga Cliffs...
...along the lower leg of the Y...
....further along the lower leg of the Y...
...and returned to the steaming bay after a good half an hour or so run.

Christmas Day, and at the H&MGR it is not a day for over indulgence, just a little bit of fancy fare in moderation and a bit of train running to, the one thing I'd like to do in more than moderation ;-)

Manawanui leaving the steaming bay station loop. I think at this point Hannah was driving and I had the camera...
...passing the sawmill again, but heading the opposite direction ;-)
On the lower leg of the Y junction again, can't remember now it it was Hannah or myself driving at this stage.
Last one, this time I do remember I was driving and Hannah had the camera.

Trains did run for a while on Boxing Day but I was looking after the barbque and other tasks at the same time so photos got missed. But not today.
It was Otto's turn. Firstly in the gloom under the new deck...

On the other end of that lower leg of the Y, about to pass over the step part of the Y....
Over pond bridge. And yes the pond is looking black after several coats of paint on pond liner. In 7 days time I can fill it! Better get on with the bridge deck too :-o

John it's been a long time since I visited the forum - it's great to see your railway on the 'first page' when I clicked 'New Posts' and such lovely photos...
