Of course there is much still to do, some for of fence come edging for a start, then planting and then the biggie, a deck above part of it (which is what the 6 poles are to support).
But for now some serious testing is needed to ensure all the track is 100% before the deck can be built. 
With the reverse loop now functioning the Y junction is really going to add much fun and options to train running.

Marvellous photos as always. Always enjoy seeing your railway. Very atmospheric.
Just been catching up with your recent posts. Really like the video of Otto. A delight to see a live steamer which is not dashing around like a scalded cat. Almost wins me over to live steam - almost.
Do you take special requests? I'd love to see some more close-ups of the sawmill. I'm planning on making a sawmill myself and am struggling to find some decent photos of prototypes.

Yep, you got in one. Hmm I think it's coming up 26 years working for piling contractors, does it show
And as for the good weather, it appears to have ended today when I was halfway through spreading a trailer load of new topsoil under the raised section. Topsoiling got completed but planting didn't happen. Currently very wet this evening.

Excellent addition John and great photos of a fine line as is usual.
There is one thing that is worrying me........
Knowing how Murphy and his law operate........that drop, off your reverse loop, is a tempting one for a gremlin.......perhaps you need a safety net!
I say this after seeing one of my locos come off a trestle recently, due to my incompetence in leaving an obstacle in its way...but in your case a natural one could cause the same effect?!

Fantastic running day yesterday, to celebrate the opening of the tall loop. Live steam, battery power, AND track power.
'Not sure if the track power will work, Gav. Haven't used it since you last ran.... sap from the fruit trees, bird poop, and all that, I'll get the cleaning block out....'
While JR went to find it, I switched the power on, pressed the go button, and my Climax, with a large train, moved off without hesitation (the track was not cleaned). With live steam, you tend to get some oil on the track, a byproduct of this, is that it helps with electrical continuity.
Yummy tucker put on too, by the mothers (well, it was Mothers Day).

Thanks Gav It was a bit of a slightly risky experiment with the new revers loop having only had an hours testing prior to today and it was also an experiment to see how folks would use the reverse loop, steaming bay and 'Y' junction onto the old main line. A bit of confusion at first but I think everyone came to grips with the operating potential at the end...I hope so. :-X
Okay, some photos.

John R fettling his Wuhu Porter on the steaming bay. Problems with the gas tank an value meant it didn't steam today, but a rather nice wee loco all the same. (Diane is in the background, looks like she's trying to keep Brian in line again : )
Meanwhile Ian, John S and Warren discuss the fencing around the new elevated reverse loop as my topless Regner Otto steams past

Brian's train again out on the old main line. To frame left, under the bridge is one of the legs of the new 'Y' junction.
Following uphill comes my topless Otto followed by Chris's Accucraft Plantation having it's first steaming.
Otto passing my Climax at rest at Punga Cliffs. (I'm experimenting more with a new fitting on Otto before getting started on it's new bush tramway body and the new fitting gets in the way of fitting the roof on properly )
Last one from the running day. Most of the collective gathered on the patio below Kakariki station enjoying afternoon tea made by SWMBO (on Mother's Day), Hannah, Michelle and their friend Rachel. Thanks Girls

Thanks Alan, it was inspired by something similar on Ian Webb's railway (another WGRG member).
Meanwhile since the running day a couple more locos and trains have been out testing the new trackage. Unfortunately late in the date when the light is fading so only patch photos to record the runs But rest assured the extension is working well and I'm rapt how well it is working out
Manawanui and it's train of log bogies ran well last Sunday.
And Kaitaki steamed this evening to the accompaniment of a big smile in my heart
It was dark again as Kaitaki cooled off in the steaming bay...
Time for bed Grommet

The Bush Jigger had it's turn first testing out the reverse loop....
...no problems to report with the Bush Jiggers run. Well expect for having to clear a worm from a turnout so it would through properly. Hehe it was the worm that won't turn :
