H&MGR, a family railway in NZ

I think I saw that Air NZ were offering Auckland at just under £800 the other day - then there's the bit down from there to Wellington (aw.... I suppose Fred could walk that bit...........)
 
Or we could mail him out there........ might be a bit cheaper for him
 
or dco as the nice american lady did to here pet puppy.. mail him there...
 
This has set the benchmark for me from a scenic point of view it is exactly what I had in mind for my garden line before I even found the forum. I'm going to give the roadbed preparation and ballasting a go to, and see how it lasts in the UK.
 
I would have perhaps suggested a nice sea voyage - but it's a bit of a bummer that there seems to be a problem at Suez again........

Only just come on this site, fantastic work, love the cutting angle, if the crossing photo with the skip train was in sepia it could evan look like a railway under construction. Congratulations on organising the day lighting. What is the story on the wagons in No 83 & 84 love them, but some seem to have different axle detail.

Been doing more testing on the log bogies, the Bush Jigger trying one pair out for size...

And up at Punga Cliffs in the log loading siding the twin woodsmen continue their never ending chat. (One day a log hauler will go at the end of the siding...one day.)

Umm, the wagons in posting 83 are Hartland wagons that have been bodged around a bit. They have Bachmann wheels fitted, some 31mm dia some 24mm dia.


The wagons in posting 84 (and the train the Dubs usually hauls) are mostly repainted Accu-craft L&B wagons and one scratch build wagon NZR L wagon.:D

So thats what Hartland look like on the track, I keep reading about the Hartland stuff but not knowingly seen it in the flesh or at work. The scale is a perfect fit with the O&S Loco

It seems almost impossible to get, shop stock lists have it, but when one rings, its out of stock.
