My wife is involved with archery and most arrows these days are made from carbon coated aluminium tube. When an arrow gets damaged I have a good supply of weather proof tubing, just the right size. Obviously this is only viable if you know an archer or know where an archery club is, but maybe worth a thought.

Sorry I'm an archer I only use wooden arrows and at 3/8ths diameter would not be a lot of use :)

How do you manage to cut the tube so neatly for the gutters or are you just talking downspouts here?

Fortunately it wasn't that difficult, I pushed the tube up against a firm block and used a Dremel disc cutter. I just took my time. When I do it again I'll make a proper jig as fingers and cutting discs aren't the best of bedfellows. Fortunately I managed to keep the use of all my fingers! The down pipes are held in place by small black cable ties. The spare length shortened and cut to a point, then pushed into the foam board. Looking at the pictures I realised I hadn't put some ends on the gutters!

Very neat solution all I need to do now is find a tame Archer!
