It's amazing what can happen in three weeks - that was the last time I was able to run a train - the day job does get in the way sometimes!

Sorry, didn't see the bit about still able to run trains. This happened when we went away for 1 week.

Overgrown tracks look great, I usually keep mine clear because I found that the small details of the train were being swept off the loco. I am still looking for a whistle lost off my lgb 2-4-0 after 4 years. Also at times the loco stops because it has fouled a low branch that wasn't there last week. I always run my least important loco on first lap of the day. Even after eyeballing the track I still can miss things & better to find a problem with older trains than derail or damage the good loco detail.

I like the baby's tears though, so I might give them a try in the outdoors part of the track. I presume they need part or full shade?

Also as my layout is at places 4 foot off the ground, it would be my luck to fall off and break a leg. How would I look in hospital when I told them that I was peeing on the track when the accident happened!

Don't let anyone kid you that all you need is something slow growing. There is no such thing when the weather is wet and warm like the last few weeks.

Got lots, hidden in the depths of the computer. Our garden is always overgrown, I like it that way. Found this one.

This is what happened to my line in Luton after some 2 years of neglect. I was busy building a second small line in the Garden to run my LGB Electrics on, plus working a contract that involved much European Travel. Some of what you see is the carnage that Sedum Acre can do. I used to like it growing in the track, but you can never get rid of it as even the smallest bit of ball left will come back. This stuff is not named so without reason. Now I do like to have some other plants growing in the track and Mind Your Own Business such as seen on many of the pics in this posting is just fine.

Incidentally all the bogie wagons that you see on these pictures have been refurbished and are to be seen on the Ruschbahn. The small 4 wheel jobies were sold on at the beds Group Live Steam do in Ampthill some years back, did any of you buy them? As for the Bachman 4 wheel bobber. Will post a pic of what that looks like in a minute or two.

This is what happened to the Bobber, together with some current overgrowth on my line in Hemel Hempstead.

I used some of the same type of plastic that Martino has been using for his nice Signal Box to make a new body. The load is of Sisal String on mounting board and is a take on the French Opens that you see in books loaded with straw.
