Good control for railway electrics

Note the original unit is not IP rated for outside use..

Obviously, it can be used to feed devices that ARE outside.

That is a very good point, the 2 i have are in a ip rated plastic box, in a summer house in the garden.

Now if Massoth had an Alexa skill that would be cool

I use the Sonoff range of devices in my home automation system, for indoor and outdoor security lights. They are very good but I don't use Alexa. When I want a light switched on, I get up and use a switch. :)

Had a look at them, but unsure how these would be wired, maybe its me but you couldn't just wire your kettle to one, could you!!

Designed for a 'fixed' installation, rather than a 'plug-in' solution..

Would would certainly end-up cutting/stripping mains wires. Not difficult, more a case of working through methodically, but if unsure you would have to add the cost of getting a Sparky in.

Alexa, find me a sparky :devil::devil::devil::devil:

Oh dear, the Guv'nor has really started something:mask::mask::mask::mask::mask:

Been able to say " Alexa Train on " for a year now whole of house is automated with z-wave devices.

After working with IT all day, the less my relaxation time involves it the better I like it... (Ludites'r'us.)

After working with computer stuff since the 1960's, the less electronics, the better!

Darn... I thought I was doing well working with computers back in the days of green screens, basement sized main frames. 12" tape storage and clean rooms. But you've got me beat by a couple of decades... Hats off to you...
