Good control for railway electrics

Nice being able to say "Alexa turn Trains lighting on/off"

That is a very good point, the 2 i have are in a ip rated plastic box, in a summer house in the garden.

Now if Massoth had an Alexa skill that would be cool

I use the Sonoff range of devices in my home automation system, for indoor and outdoor security lights. They are very good but I don't use Alexa. When I want a light switched on, I get up and use a switch.

Designed for a 'fixed' installation, rather than a 'plug-in' solution..

Would would certainly end-up cutting/stripping mains wires. Not difficult, more a case of working through methodically, but if unsure you would have to add the cost of getting a Sparky in.
