I have been a subscriber to Gartenbahn Profi for a long time. I have just received what I thought was the annual subscription renewal to find that the publishers are about to retire and the subscription only covers issues 2-3/2026. The invoice included a letter out lining the change in circumstances:

"Dear reader of Gartenbahn Profi,

Today you will receive a subscription invoice for the next subscription period of Gartnbahn Profi.

You may be wondering why this is not an annual invoice for 6 issues, but only a partial invoice for the 2 issues from No2 to No3/2026. The reason for this is operational changes, as both the publisher and the editor-in-chief will soon be reaching retirement age. As a small family business, wew would have liked to continue publishing Gartenbahn Profi for a while longer, but not allevents can be planned. For important family reasons, we have recently decided to end our activities for a regularly published magazine with the release of issue 3/2026.

We will inform you about any possible continuation of Gartenbahn Profi, in whatever form, on our website by Mid March. At present we are not yet in a position to make a decision and kindly ask for your understanding.

We would be delighted if you would take advantage of our small subscription offer which ends with issue 3/2026 on 17th April 2026.

That is very sad, I think that there is another Garden Mag in Germany? If so hope that continues.

I also subscribe to the Garten Bahn magazine which is still in circulationere is ; GartenBahn

There is also VOLLDAMPF, still publishing with 4 issues per year, 38 Euro annual subscription for customers outside Germany...

I have just received my last paper edition. The new digital copy will be available in August. It will be possible to order later this month.

I'm in two minds about it, I VERY much prefer a paper magazine over a PDF one....

I currently receive Garden Rail and Narrow Gauge World digitally on my tablet so I will contue my subscription to Garten Bahn Profi as a digital copy. I keep the digital magazines on my tablet which I find useful when travelling away from home. There is the added advantage of a digital copy is that it takes up less physical storage space. I am still under pressure to reduce the amount of paper magazines that I currently have collected over many years.

Slightly sideways topic-wise does anyone know of a French magazine that covers garden railways? On Youtube there is the excellent Aiquillages
channel from Thierry Pupier (and www.aiquillages.eu) who covers all scales indoor and out. The man who inspired my wife and I to start a g scale line in our garden and in the last months of his life guided and tutored us, Bernard Déluard, featured three times on that channel. He also wrote articles and reviews for a magazine but I don't know what it was called or if it still exists.

Yes we miss his help greatly. We are still in touch with his widow who kindly put us in touch with a Dutch friend of his who has endless patience and wisdom answering my cries for help
