Hi, does anyone have a copy of the plan that came with this magazine for 1;20.3 coach. I thank it was the Dec 1994 issue. I want to build my own rolling stock, so if there are any other plans/drawings members know of, please, let me know.Ta!....Tony

Hi Tony and welcome I will have a look and see if I still have it! Do you fly a string bag or just a fan?

Well I found it and yes it is the one with the coach plans but It's not with the mag! but that means it's around in the shed somewhere I will look later and get back to you........................Paul.............

The plan is reportedly "G" not 1:20.3 specifically, so it may be more along the lines of 1:24-1:22 as many of the NENG kits were of the 1980s and 1990s.

For the full list of plans, look here if you did not know of this already. Bold means Marc still has the plans.

If is helps, it is listed as " a Generic G Scale coach." It is a " duck billed roof typical of many early passenger cars ." The finished model is 15 inches long, X 4 inches wide X 6 inches high. It scales out to a car the is approximately 28 feet long X 8 feet wide X 11 feet tall.

Hi,

That far back I think the plan could be in 1 to 22.5, but not certain. Later they did 1 to 20.3 plans and I have the set for them - plan 58 on 'side street's' website are the ones: I have attached a photo of the small business car and a loco to this post, made from the set - all in the photo have been scratch built, loco as well.

They are big = multiple scans and there are 3 in the set.

Let me know if these are the ones that you are thinking about please?

Thanks guys for the replies all, well most, very helpfull......Yes Paul I used to fly in the Swordfish with the Historic flight, I have over 250 flying hours in the two Fish they have. But I have had to retire as I am now 60+ and too old to fly for the military any more.......Hi Peter they are very nice, did you build them yourself?. As I'm just getting into this I am not too sure what is available. I have a mate in my Boating club that has a garden railway and he gave me a plan for an outside frame boxcar in 1;20.3 scale from the magazine and told me about the coach and that is my sole source of info up till now.....I have a Bachmann Spectrum Mogul as my only loco so need matching scale rolling stock..thanks all for your help....Tony

I guess this explains the Sword fish bit dont wish to get personal but should we ask about the fairey or is this only on the weekends :rolf:

The best I can do is a Firefly visiting Speke (old) airport quite a few years back.

Hi Rob, thanks for the nice photo of the Firefly, unfortunately we lost ours, and both crew, at Duxford a few years ago. She was a smashing looking gal though..And a dream to fly in....cheers..........Tony
