It was from the tables outside the front of the Albion at Arnside, whilst waiting for a fantastic dinner in the dinning room, and yes the trains rumbling across the bridge in the half light were very very emotive.
Although the stock was modern the sound seemed very yesteryear.
The Albion was the home of a coastal shipping family who's trade was taken by the NEW railway, so they cashed in on the advent of holiday trains.
I would love a trip in the half light, it didn't occur at the time, we were totally mesmerised by the view from the pub.
