Playing at designing a simple UK style Foot Bridge for my station, can anybody think of a real one that uses brick pillars instead of a lattice frame for the supports? been searching but not found one yet, trying it this way to make it simple to make and heaver for outside use :)

Search for pictures of Shackerstone station..

Though their footbridge is out of use at the moment, you should find some pictures from a few years back.

Thanks found it, bit of a rework needed looking at Shackerstone's bridge, the station was built around the correct time so my footbridge won't quite be as fictitious as I thought it would :) probably not a very common way of building one but at least they did build them that way.

So why not incorporate the 'tower' staircase on one platform??
It doubles back on itself, so as you come down the final flight you are facing the track. - Takes up less space that way.

Shackerstone station has lovely atmosphere.. And a cracking 'Victorian' tearoom!
The (I assume) waiting room is a museum, crammed full of railway memorabilia, and there is normally a fire in the hearth, which really adds to the atmosphere

Only found good pics really that show the tower that runs parallel to the platform, but I can see that the other tower is built different from it as it's 90deg to the platform, At the moment I have only finished building one platform, wanted to draw up the footbridge before I made a second and then find out it won't fit :). Might see what it looks like with one tower turned 90 deg, or move it so it's half on and half off the platform and bend it around on it's self if that makes sense . The tower on my island platform is OK for length, it's just the other where the station building will be, it will look a bit cramped but I suppose I could make that platform longer to suit, there is no rule that says both must be the same length :) Need to plan out the station building next then I can decide the length of the second platform I suppose.
