Fitting Decoder to RHB driving trailer

Start by removing the six screws that hold the floor pan ing.
Remove pan.that leaves exposed the floor bottom and the respective wires
In the centre is the battery box and a curcuit board the decoder fits underneath this.

Take out the two screws holding this board in and turn it over
On the left you will see the sockets in which the decoder fits and on the righ bottm you will see the so called DIP switches. Move the three to off.
Then insert the decder pressing in to postion

The decoder is now fitted and assembly is reverse of how it was stripped down

A nice touch is the snowplough which has a blanking piece to fill the hole where the coupling goes.

Just one omission, you haven't fitted water wings 'cos just up the road here it is currently P-ing down. No testing yet I imagine

a ha! i was thinking that maybe they are powered to avoid small scale propelling issues - which would have been a bit ironic. Make sure you get a video up I think this is really cool! I enjoyed the trailer less backwards video, but a dvt will finsih it of lol
The chip controls the lighting. Without it the red lights on the trailer stay on red regardless of direction.
It also controls the interior lights and turns the running lights on and off

Hi Mohammed 55021 but it was a mk1 the onewith no back emf control. It needs this one or todays version as there is little room for anything else. If you look at the fitted chip you can see how tight the space is, picture post 4.

Rule 8 applies before any other considerations.
But do RhB trains with driving trailers display red lights? Or does driving on the street (like the Arosa line) change things?

Certainly fitted with red lights but I have no evening shots of them going away from the camera, this one looks like they are dimly lit as I think you are seeing the bulbs rather than sun reflection.don9GLC said:
