Worked on the porthole on the other side of the tunnel. I'm happy with it.IMG_20180726_224237077.jpgIMG_20180726_225607197.jpgIMG_20180727_082124543.jpgIMG_20180727_082058162.jpg

Thanks. It's really starting to look like a garden railroad.

Hi everyone. Haven't posted in a while but work continues on the layout. I changed the loop heading up the grade to give more of a gradual incline to help with the grade up the mountain. Seems to work better.IMG_20181107_083614.jpg

Started on the other trestle. 12 bents in this one . I have one more to build after this one. I still need to add the cross members and do some more leveling. What type of wood are you using for the bridge?
Hi John. Iim using Cedar. I buy the 1×6 and rip them down on the table saw. They have been outside for a year and 3 months and so far so good.

Dunnyrail didn't see your link. I'm interested in seeing it. Thanks.
Jack sorry not managed to catch up with all of your posts till just now.

First my link to my Railway Build is in the Sigature Line below this post, click on the red text ‘a new railway is started etc...’ you may have to scroll a page or lots to get to how I Operate my line, but it is there.

As for your Pond Pump I see it is still showing up on some of your pics. Way to hide it, thin bricks placed either side with some Expanded Polystyrene below to protect the Liner and some of that Flat Stone on top will loose it nicely but will still be accesible for Servicing should the need arise. You could also put a suitable smallish rock on top of that to make a small Island.

Still loving what you are doing, I think it is safe to say that you have got past the learning phase!

Grest looking trestles, I hope you're not using your favourite engine to test it out though

Lots of great progress! It must be nice to be able to work on the RR year around. But, then again, I don't have to deal with hurricanes! :whew:
