I also just noticed the coal tender (actually battery cover) is not sat down properly in the pics, grr....

Ian, that is simply stunning mate. She is a thing to behold, you should justly feel proud of your dad's achievement.
Have you taken photos of all the steps in the creation (more than the ones you have posted)?
