Fault on Massoth r/c

During our open day on Sunday, we had an incident where a piece of rolling stock slipped backwards and straddled a point causing what was described as a 'flash ' . Soon after it was discovered that the two Navigator h/s were not working, I cannot remember if the 'stop' LED was on, on the 1200, there were also two LGB wireless h/s being used via an LGB 55055P and Massoth transducer 8138501( it could be that the stop button was pressed on any of the h/s ) On further investigation, I noticed that the LED on the 813301 RC receiver was not on ( I had extended the cable and this was placed on a tree under an up turned coke bottle cut to a tight fit) I reconnected the receiver on the original cable, it blinks twice and then goes out and will not work. I found the h/s cables and using them as 'tethered ' , they work fine. When the h/s are first turned on, a message comes up " R C disabled" . I have gone through the base station and h/s manuals but cannot find any reference to 'enabling R C' . I only have one Massoth receiver as you can only use one, so have nothing to 'swap it out' with. I don't know if the reported 'flash' had anything to do with the h/s problem, I can't see why it would? I cannot decide if the fault is with the receiver or the base station. The setup has been working for some months and just failed on Sunday.
Any input would be much appreciated
Thanks
Dave

You are saying that the Massoth system works OK when you hard wired a Navigator to it?

The navigator would have the R.C disabled message when it is hard wired to the Central station

Yes the Navigators work ok when hard wired via cords, the LGB hand sets work wirelessly via the adapters
Thanks
Dave

A Wireless Navigator will indicate "RC Dissabled" when it cannot connect to a reciever. Sounds as if the Receiver has gone belly up.

Sorry I did not make it on Sunday.

Thanks Mark
Do you plan to go to the garden open day 'up the road' on the 6th Sept?
If so , I will bring the 'bits' ...... Can the receiver be repaired or is it a case of buying a new one?
Thanks
Dave
