[align=center]After sitting in the shed for a few months I decided today to experiment with my 44 tonner,

I got it to rattle cars in the yard but found that it drew too much amps for the chips to cope with,

I was fiddling about with some wheels when it came to me that I could use these instead of a motor block,

They fit straight in and it has given me a spare brick to build a four wheel switcher onto,

Hopefully no more fried chips either.

[align=center]After success with the Piko loco docksider I plucked up the nerve to take apart the 44 tonner,
I read and re-read Greg Els words and lo and behold just as he said I broke the bell off!!

I also made some extra pickups from scrap copperclad strip and some hard drawn nickel silver wire these are very basic and work very well there is no drag or braking effect on the wheels, I use a similar method for power pick ups on my cabbooses, more reliable than the Aristo/USA type
