I've been looking at the Elstow Engineering website Elstow Engineering Limited - Model Railway Engineering Specialist and emailing Graham about buying a kit to convert my Roundhouse Darjeeling B class to coal firing. While their stuff looks good, I cannot seem to find much information about them online other than the website. I have absolutely no reason to doubt their product but I would like to get some informed thoughts on them.

Does anyone here have any experience with their coal conversion kits? Do they perform well? I have a 45mm coal burner, so I am familiar with firing locos of this size.

I've emailed Graham but have not received a response yet as to what is done to make the saddle tank functional.

Any insight is greatly appreciated,
Roger

DJB does not list a conversion for the B Class but I will reach out to them. Thank you.

Paul from DJB says they do not have any plans at this time to do a coal firing conversion for the B class. He did say they may do something coal fired based on a Roundhouse locomotive at the end of this year or the beginning of next. I'm not holding my breath for the B class as Shawe did one a while back and Riverdale did one fairly recently.
