I assume these are for Aristo-Craft, if they are it surprises me they are metric as American companies mainly use imperial size threads.

It might be Accucraft track rather than Aristocraft James?
I was confuzzed too when I first started in G scale. Accucraft track is metric and available from Trackshack on the Isle of Man;
Accucraft UK, Roundhouse Engineering, and Peco live steam garden railways

Old school metric units
The last time I stuck a rule on Aristo track, the "five foot" lengths were 1500 mm, the "one foot" 300 mm, etc.; similarly, the "two foot" radius is 600 mm (yes, LGB R1), the "five foot" radius (wot I use on my main line) is 1500 mm (or "10 foot" diameter = 3000 mm). Ditto USAT.
Not surprising, since it all comes/came out of China, shamelessly cribbed from the LGB geometry -- although Aristo had a broader range of curves.
I think it was the Danes who first had a metric equivalent for a UK foot (as in yds, ft & ins) when measuring timber, as this metric rubbish was impractical.
And before anyone starts on centimetres, they are not an SI unit, so you're stuck with metres or millimetres, neither of which are practical units for construction

As a rule, I use my feet all the time. I tried walking on my cubits, but the elbows said it wasn't their job.

A while back, Nov 2016, post 270 on page 14, of this rubbish I post from time to time. I dressed my Gourmino coach, which resulted in an enquiry as to the source of the table items food etc..
As I had not used all of the items, and if they could be used by someone else, all I needed was the address to post to, the surplus was dispatched to pastures new.
Now fast forward to now ish, and a recent post in the daily chat that I was looking for two items, resulted in a return delivery of sorts arriving earlier this week.
Resulting in a change from this...
...to this...

Ok a sort of over winter ish, disaster ridden update.
Wind, rain and snaa, as is normal for these parts at this time of year.
Not a lot happening, which is just as well as the weather put pay to the station building lights, with many led failures, but strangely not to the MPD building or the platform ones.
So I sourced a replacement via some crimbo lights, reduced in a Jan sales, installed a temporary building of sorts and set to work re lighting the station building.
Just for good measure also decided to upgrade the other lights to 4.5v from 3.0v, which is much brighter, and has resulted in a reduction of battery boxes from 4 to 2.
The new station lights are a brighter white, so can be put down to station improvement works, which is true anyway.
One thing that is still open for debate, is my trial signal, it may be a tad over scale...
