Anyone Got any experience of these

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-pcs-O-Gauge-2-aspects-Railway-LEDs-Signals-Green-Red-/400236542567?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item5d2ff4fa67

I know technicaly O scale but measured against a Stainz , they come out cab height

Not tried any of these YET, but they look useful. Have used this seller on several occasions without problem.

At least the colours are the correct way too. They're worth it even for the heads.

They look handy, for sure, and presumably one could just use a DPDT (with Centre Off when not in use) switch to control manually if you don't want to attempt fancy locking or automation. Hoping some other less lazy soul might get some and review them here before I raid the piggy bank, though they are now added to my eBay Watch List in any case! :D

looks good

Two things to watch out for..
1. Is the plastics UV stable? - If not will need to paint them for protection / longevity.
2. Check if the resistor has ferrous leads.. If so, pot / seal the resistor and connections in some way. - Very thin steel wire will rot-through in a season if the damp and air can get to it.. don't ask!

Other than that, they look pretty good..
There was a ?German? firm at Warley doing (amongst other things) a super-duper version of the Faller road system for moving vehicles.. They did other automation bits, and their guy had made some very nice large signal heads for their display..
If they were a product, they could have shifted a lorry full!!

I would paint them anyway and heatshrink any leads connections, They also do heads seperatly and 3 aspect versions

I just searched for traffic lights and had found these, for gauge 1

Ohhh.... Liking those, just ordered a few myself to add to the "box of useful things which I'll get round to one day" - nice one, thanks.

Hello Sparky,

I converted a Playmobil signal into 2 aspects
and found another traffic light on ebay which makes a good basis for a 3 aspects
I think.

Kind regards
Soeren

So I ordered a set of those two aspect signal parts and today a nicely parcelled up box of bits arrived from China. 11 days from order to delivery and they look just fine.

I guess that sort of calls my bluff about making signals really :o

Can we have a comparison picture with the originally posted signals please?
Perhaps even with that universal unit of G scale measurement, you have so many of!!
;) ;) :D ;D ;D ;D

when the ones i ordered arrive , will post parked next to a Stainz or 50 lol
