I would like to fit a dummy Westinghouse pump on my Roundhouse Billy loco but I don't know how or where to run the associated pipework. Can anyone provide any info on what pipes need to go where?

Your best bet would be to look at some 1:1 scale diagrams of the set up. The pipework would take different routes on most engines

Have a look at this link where you will see many pictures of Westinghouse fitted 02 class, worth a look at H class as well that had the gear fitted on some engines.

Jon, you forgot the link - don't you mean 02 on the Isle of Wight? don't think the H class went there, mainly south east (Kent, and East Sussex) from the details I've seen - sorry for any thread drift.

(I think you forgot the link) I do have several good pictures from the web of westinghouse pumps themselves, but its not obvious where the various connecting pipes need to go. Not worried about the route they take on the loco, just where they should end up. It looks like the live steam feed comes from the cab, presumably via some kind of valve, the exhaust steam appears to go into the smoke box and the air presumably goes to a tank somewhere between the frames. There also seems to be a host of smaller oil feed pipes etc but not sure where these go.

Just google that for O2 then some H will show as well.

Westinghouse Pump operates the brakes so pipes will go down to the brakes somewhere between the frames. Small pipes will likely feed oil into the operation of the pump and a line to a reservoir likely from that to the brakes. A look at either 02 or H pictures should show most but not all of what there is.
