Downgrading a 3 Truck Shay to 2 Truck

I have a Bachmann 3 truck shay, factory fitted with dcc/ sound.
It runs very well and sounds absolutely terrific, with its Tsunami sound unit, it's about 3 years old.

The problem is that it's too big for my indoor layout, but after a lite test run this morning, I find I am able to run the loco on dcc, but without its tender.
So the thought occurred to me that I could possibly move the electrics, sound etc from the tender and into and under the coal load, anybody tried it ?

I will have a further look inside the loco this afternoon

Or just sell it and buy a two truck.

That's true Alam, but there doesn't seem to be two many 2 Trucks about at the moment. I would even consider a swap.
I think however that I may well be able to convert it

I had a 3 cylinder , two truck one that I cut down to two cylinders, made it a little shorter that way also, if you want more reduction. I think there is some stuff on my web page, under the projects button about my doing that. thescrr.com
